Red velvet cake is a popular dessert that can be enjoyed on many occasions. While it is often thought of as being unhealthy because of its rich, indulgent flavor, there are actually some health benefits to red velvet cake. It is made with cocoa powder and buttermilk, which are both good sources of antioxidants.

Cocoa powder has also been shown to improve blood flow and lower blood pressure. Buttermilk contains lactic acid, which can help exfoliate the skin and improve its appearance. The main ingredient in red velvet cake is sugar.
