Cajun Rattlesnake Pasta Recipe

Ingredients:

-1/2 pound dried pasta

-1 tablespoon olive oil

-1/2 cup diced onion

-3 cloves garlic,

minced

-1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

-1/4 teaspoon black pepper

-1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained

-1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce

-1/2 cup water

-1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

-1/4 teaspoon salt

-3 drops hot pepper sauce

-2 tablespoons chopped green onions

Directions:

1. Cook pasta according to package directions.

2. While pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.

Add onion, garlic, cayenne pepper, and black pepper;

cook for 3 minutes or until onion is tender.

Stir in tomatoes and remaining ingredients; simmer for 10 minutes or until slightly thickened. Drain pasta; add to tomato mixture, tossing well to coat.

Add this mixture to the pan and stir to combine. Return the pan to medium heat and add the olive oil. Once hot, add the garlic and cook until fragrant. Add the wine and simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in the parsley, oregano, thyme and crushed tomatoes.
